When I was a child, I used to dream that once in my life time I would have a chance to hear the heavenly nightingale song. And when I grow up I never stop dreaming about it.

...at the end the nightingale is free...and she promises to the king that she will come every evening and sing to the king...she will sing to those who are happy, and those who suffer; of the good and the evil...What a lovely story

I have heard this ending: The king tries to keep the nightingale, the nightingale gets sick and stops singing, the maid lets the bird out thinking that it will feel better, nightingale escapes, king gets replacement mechanical bird, king starts to die, mechanical bird breaks, nightingale comes back to sing one last song to the king as he dies. The End.
